INTRODUCTION — Reconnecting the Room
[SLIDE 1 – “State of the Church 2025 | Here to Stay”]
Church, today is special.
Last Sunday, in Part 1, we talked about who we are — our mission, our values, our culture, our leadership pipeline, the way ministry flows through this house.
Today, in Part 2, I want to talk about where we’re going — the future we’re building and how we get there together.
This is going to feel like vision, stewardship, leadership development, and long-term faith all rolled into one conversation.
And I’m praying you walk out today saying, “Wow… I never knew our church was this organized, this intentional, or this ready for the next season.”
1. THROUGH GENERATIONS — A 30-YEAR VISION
[SLIDE 2 – “Through Generations | 30 Years”]
I love this slide. It reminds us:
We’re not building a church for a moment — we’re building a church for generations.
Look at the timeline:
- 2025 – First youth group graduates
- 2029 – Rangers group graduates
- 2032 – Hikers graduate
- 2038 – Campers graduate
- 2048 – Pinewood turns 30
- 2048 – Another generation rises
Every child in Pinewood Kids today will graduate into a church that is healthy, growing, and rooted.
We are not building a temporary work in a difficult city.
We are building something that will outlast all of us — for the Lord’s renown.
2. CONTENT OVERVIEW — How Part 2 Works
[SLIDE 3 – Content Overview: Part 1 / Part 2]
Today is Part 2: What We’re Building & Where We’re Going.
Here’s where we’re going in the next 30–40 minutes:
- Staffing & Structure
- Stewardship & Budget
- Membership & Bylaws
- Health Metrics
- Future Vision
- Call to Prayer
All of this helps answer one big question:
What are we building together?
3. STAFFING & STRUCTURE — The People Who Lead the Mission
A. Staff Overview
[SLIDE 4 – Staff Pictures & Titles]
These are the people who steward the ministry every week.
- Pastors
- Directors
- Coordinators
- Worship
- Kids
- Crews
- Communications
- Creative
- Exec support
Each one carries part of what God is building here.
Insert a short staff story
– Highlight someone who grew through the pipeline
– Or someone who has taken big responsibility recently
B. ALL LEADS
[SLIDES 5–9 – All Leads: Creative, Next Steps, Next Gen, Crews, Missions]
These slides represent one of the greatest strengths of Pinewood:
We are a leadership-development church.
People don’t just attend here —
they grow here,
they serve here,
they lead here,
and they get released into more.
Each of these areas has a team of committed leaders who are multiplying the mission.
C. Leadership Levels
[SLIDE 10 – Leadership Levels]
This is our leadership pipeline in simplest form:
- Executive
- Director
- Team Lead
- Captain
- Serve Team
This is one of the cleanest, clearest pipelines of any church our size.
Everyone knows where they are, and everyone knows what’s next.
D. How Ministry Gets Done
[SLIDE 11 – “How Things Get Done” + Serve Team / Leads / Staff definitions]
We simplify it to three categories:
- Serve Team – people who serve each week to make ministry happen
- Leads – volunteer leaders who equip and shepherd teams
- Staff – paid leaders who steward systems and leadership
When these three work together, ministry is healthy.
This is why Pinewood feels organized, excellent, and spirit-led.
4. STEWARDSHIP & BUDGET — How We Honor God with Resources
A. Here To Stay Campaign
[SLIDE 12 – Campaign Overview: $500K / $130K / $70K]
Here to Stay is our commitment to long-term vision.
- Building – $500K
- Growing – $130K
- Reaching – $70K
- Two-year operating budget – $1.1M
This is how we prepare to secure a permanent home in Boulder.
B. Campaign Commitments
[SLIDE 13 – $1,845,226 Commitment Slide]
This number is incredible.
Our church — in Boulder — has committed $1.845 million over two years.
That reflects:
- Faith
- Maturity
- Vision
- And belief in what God is doing
C. Budget Overview & Process
[SLIDES 14–15 – Budget Process + Benchmark Slide]
Here’s what makes our budget process healthy:
- It runs through Leads
- Through Staff
- Through Directors
- And finally through our Board
And our percentages fall within trusted national benchmarks:
Unstuck Group, Vanderbloemen, Tithely.
This means we’re running a healthy, balanced, transparent church.
D. Budget Percentages
[SLIDE 16 – Budget Percentages Pie Chart]
- 44% Personnel
- 25% Savings
- 11% Operations
- 10% Ministry
- 10% Missions
This is a church that saves wisely, gives generously, and invests in long-term health.
E. Generosity Theology
[SLIDE 17 – 2 Corinthians 9:7 + More Than Enough]
Generosity isn’t about numbers — it’s about alignment.
We don’t give out of compulsion; we give out of joy.
And when we give, God multiplies the impact.
5. MEMBERSHIP & BELONGING
A. Membership Commitment
[SLIDE 18 – Membership Commitment]
Being a member doesn’t mean “I attend Pinewood.”
It means:
- I commit to Christ
- I align with the mission
- I give faithfully
- I serve sacrificially
Membership is partnership.
B. Membership Activities
[SLIDE 19 – Pray / Serve / Give]
This is what belonging looks like:
Prayer, service, and generosity.
We don’t want observers.
We want participants.
C. Mutual Interest Clause
[SLIDE 20 – Article XI Mutual Interest Clause]
This is our way of saying:
At Pinewood, holiness matters.
We want to honor God with our lifestyles, not just our Sundays.
This keeps our leaders, our teams, and our church spiritually healthy.
D. Tenets of Faith
[SLIDE 21 – What We Believe Link]
Everything we believe is rooted in Scripture.
We point our people here so they can know what we stand on theologically.
6. OUR MISSION & OUR THEME
A. Mission
[SLIDE 22 – “Meet People Where They Are and Point Them to Jesus”]
This is the North Star.
This mission hasn’t changed since day one, and it won’t change.
B. 2025 Theme
[SLIDES 23–26 – Hebrews 13:17 + James 3:1 – More Than Enough]
This year’s theme is More Than Enough.
God has supplied more than enough grace, wisdom, favor, and resources for us to fulfill our mission.
These Scriptures remind us:
- Ministry requires accountability
- Leadership carries weight
- And that is why we lean on God for the strength to lead well
7. HEALTH METRICS — Measuring What God Has Done
A. Salvations
[SLIDE 27 – Salvations Graph]
This is why we exist.
Every salvation is a miracle.
Across seven years — 166 salvations.
B. Baptisms
[SLIDE 28 – Baptisms Graph]
This year alone — 23 baptisms.
Every one a story of obedience and life change.
C. Serve Team Growth
[SLIDE 29 – Serve Team Graph]
115 people serving.
That is unheard of for a church our size.
D. Attendance
[SLIDE 30 – Attendance Graph]
We are now a 200+ attendance church week after week.
This is supernatural growth in a post-Christian city.
E. Numbers Matter
[SLIDE 31 – Acts 2:46–47]
The early church counted. Luke records that the Lord added to their number.
We count because every number represents a name…
and every name represents a story.
8. FUTURE VISION — Where We’re Going
A. Key Focuses
[SLIDES 32–35 – Youth / College / New to Faith / Athletes]
These are our four primary growth lanes for the next season:
- Youth – They’re the future church
- College – One of the most strategic mission fields
- New to Faith – Discipleship pipeline
- Athletes – Influence, platform, mission
Each of these groups represents influence, harvest, and opportunity.
B. The 5 Pillars
[SLIDE 36 – Ministries in the 5 Pillars]
Every ministry of our church fits under five pillars:
Creative, Next Gen, Next Steps, Crews, Missions.
This ensures we’re aligned, focused, and organized for growth.
9. CALL TO PRAYER
A. Returning to the Promise
[SLIDE 37 – Isaiah 55:13 | NIV 1984]
“Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree…”
This is our verse as a church.
It’s our name.
It’s our identity.
In Isaiah, it’s God’s promise to bring His exiled people home. Here’s how we apply it:
God is turning dry ground into fruitfulness…
Brokenness into healing…
Bareness into beauty…
Opposition into opportunity…
And He’s doing it here… through us… for His renown.
CLOSING
[SLIDE 38 – “Thank You for Your Attention”]
Pinewood — look at what God has done.
Look at who we’ve become.
But most importantly…
Look where God is taking us.
We are here to stay.
We are here to serve.
We are here to reach.
We are here to disciple.
We are here for Boulder.
We are here for the nations.
We are here for generations yet to come.
And the best part?
We’re just getting started.
Was this helpful? Here's how it stays free.
